What types of live sessions and learning opportunities does the Fellowship offer?
In addition to the climate solutions curriculum sessions, which build your foundational, theoretical knowledge, the Fellowship’s expert guest sessions are the real-world, applied component of the program. They give you practical insight into the climate space and the many players shaping it: policy leaders, company founders, activists, scientists, investors, professors, and more.
These sessions come in a variety of formats, including:
- Keynotes: big-picture talks that open up climate's biggest questions, especially during Welcome Week and Fundamentals Week.
- Industry panels: leaders from the same climate sector come together to unpack their real-world experiences, including trends, breakthroughs, and what’s next.
- Lightning talks: focused talks from professionals who've made the leap into climate, sharing their career paths and tips for breaking in.
- Interactive workshops: hands-on sessions, including a new Applied AI for Sustainability Series.
- Climate news roundups: regular sessions with the editor of Climatebase Weekly that break down current climate news and how to think about it critically.
During many of these sessions, Fellows can join the conversation through Q&A. This is a great way to engage directly with expert guests, who are often eager to connect and continue the conversation afterward.

After a keynote from Molly Kawahata, Founder of Systemic Impact Strategies, a Cohort 7 Fellow shared: “This session was all about KEEPING IT REAL. I have so many takeaways, frameworks, and practical ways to gain and spread hope in our relationships and communities. I also feel more confident to talk about climate change in ways that meet people where they are at.”
